Our women have always, without complaining, borne the burden of men’s cowardice, cupidity and sin. They can be excommunicated for their men’s inability to save them from evil, and forced to lead an unholy life in the name of religion.
This paper makes a searching study of Ramayan, analyses threadbare its sanctity, inquires into the minds of its main characters, indicates the place of women in that society, in an original and rational manner.
